A successful career, fulfilling relationships, hobbies that interest you… why are you still feeling scared, sad, and depressed? Changes are happening in the world and in your life that you have little or no control over and your life no longer feels relaxed and satisfying. You can’t seem to get a handle on your anxious and unhappy feelings and you can’t always understand why you are in pain and having such difficulty managing situations that you are convinced everyone else handles with grace and ease. During these difficult times, it can be very helpful to have someone to talk to–someone who understands the complexity of how people react to stress and change. I can assist you in understanding your reactions to very common, but difficult, stressors.

In my work as a therapist, I meet each person where they are, allowing each individual to work at a pace and in a style with which they are most comfortable. This sometimes means I am a fairly quiet listener and sometimes it means I am very interactive, asking questions, responding, and educating. However, it is always your own interpersonal style that dictates and guides my relationship with you and how I will assist you. I offer counseling and Modern Psychoanalysis to all people regardless of race, religion, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
